Davis Communications Group, Inc./The Davis Group

Debra Sharon Davis is a leading futurist, business development, branding, marketing and media strategist, writer and philosopher. She recently completed the
futuristic novel “The Ripple Momentum®” due out in 2012. As the founder, President and CEO of Davis Communications Group, Inc. which owns The Davis Group, she has been at the epicenter of many firsts in the technology and media industries. A core specialty of her company is educating new markets and creating new advertising venues.

The Davis Group is a discreet boutique which also operates its own Virtual Think Tank of experts and investigative reporters to observe and explain the
changes and prognosticate trends and scalable solutions for businesses. Among the many trends Davis has targeted and coined is the word “proactive viewer,™” “high-achiever™” and “branded economics.™”

Davis originated one of the first business model prototypes for advertising on the Internet for AOL in the mid 1990’s. She facilitated one of the first private
deals for a Television Network to stream its content on the Internet with in the 1990’s. Davis created new business platforms and revenue streams for early ring tone distribution on cellular phones in the 1990’s.

In 2005, Davis was a catalyst in strategically educating bankers, business leaders and consumers during the early evolution of the technological ability for mobile
phones to act as consumers’ wallets. Her work included the importance of privacy and anti-piracy protections. In her company’s 18 year history, Davis has counseled many Fortune 500 companies. She has worked with cable networks, cable operators, technology companies, emerging digital media distribution platforms,
consumer product goods, luxury companies, advertising agencies, investment banking firms and telephone companies.

In the early 1990’s, Davis was instrumental in helping to create the “captioned by” advertising venue which is a fixture on almost all television programming in the United States today. Her unique “storytelling” positioning the value of the captioning technology convinced top advertisers to underwrite captioning. Her strategy underscored how captioning would serve 27 Deaf and hard of hearing people, 35 million school children honing reading skills, 45 million people in this country learning English as a second language (important Hispanic and Asian markets) and 27 million adult illiterates.

The Davis Group’s core services include: results-driven communications, developing new and incremental revenue streams/business models, strategies for building category ownership; generation of new cottage industries; creation of utility-based fee models; help markets avail themselves of new and complementary technologies and targeting under served groups’ needs where the client becomes a solution to an unexcavated, lucrative marketplace. Davis, who approaches all business endeavors as a storyteller, recently completed two books “The Ripple Momentum®” – a Great Gatsby type love story set against the technological upheaval in the later part of the first decade of 21st century and beyond. The second book, BackStage Pass VIP, is a pop cultural look at America and Europe via the music industry from the 1950’s blues and jazz to rock n’ roll in the 1980’s with a 21st century perspective.

Davis is a passionate champion of a company’s heartbeat — Chief Technology Officers and engineers who seek to protect companies’ intellectual property and
proprietary information and enhance the value of companies by optimizing technology’s efficiency and security.
