With over 10 years of experience working in digital video and convergence, Shawn Michels has expertise related to each piece of the digital media value chain as well as the underlying economics driving the industry. In his current role at Akamai, he is responsible for driving the world wide strategy for Akamai’s Media Security products. Prior to Akamai, Shawn directed operations for Verimatrix, an innovative video content security company. He also developed secure digital content delivery products while at Entriq, and co-founded ClearKey Solutions, a digital right management company.
