Mark has over 28 years business experience, with the first 8 in the Entertainment and Media industry and then, after his MBA, with PwC. He is an internationally recognized Cyber security and IT controls professional with deep experience designing, implementing, benchmarking, and assessing organizational security strategies and technologies including Cyber security and Identity Management solutions. He is a Partner Leader for PCI services in the USA and the global PwC subject matter specialist on security benchmarking. Mark’s work at PwC has primarily focused on the Entertainment, Media, Communications and Financial Services industries but has cross industry security experience. Mark is a sought after speaker on these and other topics by various media outlets including CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, FOX, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Financial Times and for various industry events including PCI SSC Community meetings, CSO Perspectives, The Microsoft CSO Summit, the MIS Training Institute events, The Information Security Forum (ISF) Congress and Chapter meetings, CSI, SHARE, ISSA, IBM Training, Vanguard, ISACA and others. Since 1998 Mark has fielded PwC’ yearly Global Security Survey with CIO and CSO Magazines and been the lead agent for the North American Chapter of the Information Security Forum (ISF) since 1997. From 2005-2012, Mark was a member of the Security Management, Practices and Guidance and External Relations Committees for the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and currently is on the Advisory Board for Carnegie Mellon University’s CISO certification program.
