With more than thirty years experience in film and television, Kaye Cooper-Mead serves as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Distribution Services for the indie studio, Summit Entertainment.   In this position, Kaye supervises the domestic and foreign theatrical release printing, digital cinema and delivery activities and is responsible for setting and administering the company’s asset management policies.   She is also involved with handling the day-to-day feature related anti-piracy activities for the company.

Kaye joined Summit in 1991 as Vice President of Distribution and in 2003 was named President of I.S. Film Distribution, the joint venture distribution and marketing operation Summit Entertainment formed with Intermedia Film supervising distribution, contracts, marketing, delivery and theatrical admin divisions covering films from both entities.  Prior to Summit, she was the Vice President of producer Arnon Milchan’s production and distribution company New Regency Films from 1987 to 1991 where she was involved with the sales, distribution and marketing of such films as PRETTY WOMAN, WAR OF THE ROSES, ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA and BRAZIL.

Kaye began her career in public television in Los Angeles where she associate produced the Emmy Award-winning drama, ‚ÄúEasier Done Than Said‚ÄĚ for KCET and wrote TV program development proposals for government and corporate funding.¬†¬† As Director of Distribution and Production Programs at The American Film Institute, Kaye administered the Independent Filmmaker Program, the Directing Workshop for Women and the Academy Internship Program while distributing AFI‚Äôs films to worldwide nontheatrical, cable and television markets.

Chris Carey is the Executive Vice President of Worldwide Technical Operations for Paramount Pictures. ¬†Chris is responsible for all technology initiatives throughout Paramount Pictures.¬† This includes centralizing and updating all operations for the studio‚Äôs archives, restoration and preservation programs, the mastering and distribution fulfillment services, as well as Paramount‚Äôs on-lot post production facilities.¬† He is the key Paramount executive partnering with Technicolor to manage the new state-of-the‚Äďart-post-production sound facility making the Studios at Paramount a full service post production destination.

Before joining Paramount, Chris was the Chief Marketing and Technology Officer for Technicolor and led a production infrastructure consolidation project to increase efficiency thru the centralization of data centers, digital media storage/archival, production networks, and video processing/encoding, as well leading Technicolor’s technology strategies across all of its’  lines of business.

Prior to Technicolor, Chris served as Senior VP of Studio New Technology for The Walt Disney Company. He developed and coordinated the technology strategies, standards, and policies for Disney Studios across the production, post production, manufacturing, and distribution divisions.  He represented Disney in technology standards efforts, including groups such as the Digital Cinema Initiatives LLC. He is currently chairman of the board for the Entertainment Technology Center at USC.  His group affiliations include AMPAS, MPSE, SMPTE.  He has served on the Board of Directors for; DVDCCA, DVD Forum, Blu-ray Disc Association, Digital Cinema Initiatives LLC, AACS (Advanced Access Content System).  He is a contributing author of Understanding Digital Cinema, published in 2005 by Elsevier Publications.
